AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF NORTH STREET
RUNNING EAST AND WEST AND LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 298 AND 358,
OF THE ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with 'the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock on the 15th day of July, 1963, requesting
the City of Little Rock to vacate and abandon a portion of North
Street running East and West and lying between Blocks 298 and 358
of the Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as designated on the
only official plat o said area, same being Allen & Marquand's Sub-
division of Block 358, Original City of Little Rock, Arkansas, re-
corded in Deed Record Book H -3 at Page 612 in the Office of the Re-
corder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the portion of the street hereinabove described has been dedi-
cated to the public use as a street, as herein described; that said
street has not been actually used by the public as a street for a
period of five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat, nor
has it ever been used as a public street since the filing of the plat;
that all of the owners of property abutting; upon said street have
filed with the Board of Directors their written consent to such closing
and abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be
adversely affected by the abandonment and closing of said street; and
WHEREAS, there are no public utility easements located or situated
in said street to be reserved;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates, closes and abandons all its rights, together with the rights

of the public generally, in and to that portion of North Street
designated as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 358; thence
South 60.0 Beet to the N)rtheast corner of Block 298;
tiience West on the North line of Block 298 for a distance
of 153.0 feet to the East right -of -way of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad; thence Northeasterly along said right -
of -way line to its intersection with the South line of
Block 358; thence Last 82.9 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in tine Office of tiie :E,ecorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and reco,°ded in the Deed records of said Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby -repealed and this ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after its passage.
