AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE AN ALLEY SITUATED
BETWEEN LOTS 1 AND 12, BLOCK 297, ORIGINAL CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, on the 19th day of August, 1965, ask-
ing the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon an alley, here-
inafter described, which alley divides Lot 1 from Lot 12, in Block
297, of the Original City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, after due notice required by law, the Board has,
at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
alley, hereinafter described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use as an alley; has not been actually used by the public
generally for more than five years prior to the filing of said
petition; that petitioner owns all of the property abutting on the
portion of the alley to be vacated, and has filed its written con-
sent to such abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1, The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its rights together with the rights
of the public generally, except for the rights and needs of public
utilities, for ingress and egress to maintain any existing utility
lines, including sewer lines, in said area, and except for the
rights and needs of the City of Little Rock for ingress and egress
to control drainage in said area, in and to the alley designated
as follows:

Commence at the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 297,
Original City of Little Rock; thence westerly to the
east right -of -way line of La Harpe Boulevard (State High-
way No. 10); thence along the east right -of -way line in
a southeasterly direction to a point on the north line
of Lot 12, Block 297, Original City of Little Rock; thence
easterly along the north line of said Lot 12 to the north-
east corner of said Lot 12; thence in a northerly direction
to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
