AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY
LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE
PURPOSES OF CONSTRUCTING A PORT, ESTABLISHING AN INDUSTRIAL
PARK AND FOR RELATED FACILITIES; AND DIRECTING THE CITY
ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID
PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS:

situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, are hereby condemned for the

containing 75 acres. Said property is owned by Mary R.
Toney, Jane R. Baugus and Samuel L. Raines.

Commencing at the intersection of the East right -of -way
line of Fourche Dam Pike and South right -of -way line of

North, Range 11 West; run thence East 330 feet; thence

feet to the point of beginning. Said property is owned

lying South of the North line of Fourche Island Drainage
District No. 2 Levee. Said line described as beginning at
a point which is 30 feet East of and South 2 degrees West
1687.6 feet from the Northwest corner of the S'k NEk NEk,

of beginning; thence North 79 degrees 13 minutes East to the
East line of the SE'k NEk, Section 16.

LESS AND EXCEPT the following described tract conveyed to
United States of America by Deed recorded in Book 760,
page 503 of the Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas: Part
of Fractional Section 14 and Part of NEk of Fractional
Section 23 and part of Fractional Section 13, Township 1
North, Range 11 West, described as beginning at a point of
intersection of the West line of the aforesaid Section 14
with the ordinary high water line of the right bank of the
Arkansas River, said point being approximately 900 feet
North of the Southwest corner of the NWk of said Fractional
Section 14; thence Easterly along the meanders of said
ordinary high water line to a point which is approximately
650 feet East and 959 feet North of Southwest corner of
Fractional NE'k of said Fractional Section 14; thence South-
easterly along the arc of a curve to the right, the radius
of which is 8708.7 feet to a point on the South line of the
aforesaid Section 13; said point being approximately 600
feet East of the Southwest corner thereof; thence West along
the South line of Fractional Sections 13 and 14 to a point
which is approximately 1250 feet West of the Southeast corner
of Fractional Section 14; thence South 492 feet; thence North

which lie East of the above described EXCEPTION. Said property
is owned by W. H. Griffin &nd Wilsie Griffin, his wife.
The properties hereinabove described are necessary for the purpose
of creating, constructing and developing a port facility and terminal
and an industrial park and related facilities.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to secure an
Order of the Court allowing the City to take immediate possession of
the properties hereinabove described upon the posting of a bond in an
amount to be determined by the Court. The City Attorney is authorized
to have posted on behalf of the City a bond in an amount to be determined
by the Court pending final determination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
