ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
IN BLOCK 29, C. 0. BRACKtS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
Whereas, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on March 16 1965, praying that
the Board of Directors vacate and abandon a portion of an alley in
Block 29, C. 0. Brack's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Whereas, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the portion of the alley, hereinafter described, has heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as an alley; that the portion of the
alley has not been actually used by the public generally for a period
of at least five years, that all the owners of the property abutting
upon the portion of the alley to be vacated have consented to the
abandonment of the portion of the alley, and that the public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of the
portion of the alley.
Now, therefore, be it ordained by the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as follows:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together
with the rights of the public generally, in and to a
portion of an alley, which is more particularly described
as follows:
Begin at the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block
29, C. 0. Brack's Addition to the City of Little
Rock; thence in a Southeasterly direction along
the West lines of Lots 1, 2 and 3 a distance of
142 feet; thence in a Southwesterly direction
which is a projection of the South line of Lot
3 a distance of 20 feet to the Southeast corner
of Lot 15; thence in a Northwesterly direction
along the East line of Lot 15 to a point on the
South line of Brack Street which is the North-
east corner of Lot 15; thence in a Northeasterly
direction along the South line of Brack Street
a distance of 20 feet to the point of beginning.
Also, begin at the Southeast corner of Lot 3,
Block 29, C. 0. Brackts Addition to the City of
Little Rock; thence in a Southwesterly direction
along the South lines of Lots 3, 15, 14, 13, 12
and 11 to a point on the East line of Mary Street
which is also the Southwest corner of Lot 11;
thence in the East line of Mary Street in a
Southeasterly direction a distance of 14 feet to
the Northwest corner of Lot 10; thence in a
Northeasterly direction along the North lines
of Lots 10, 91 8, 72 61 5 and 4 to the Northeast
corner of Lot 4; thence in a Northerly direction
a distance of 24.5 feet to the point of beginning.

Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, and recorded in the deed records of
the County.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
enforced from and after its passage.
