AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 43 -30 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK BY
INCREASING THE FEE ACCOMPANYING PETITIONS FOR
REZONING FROM TWENTY -FIVE AND N01100 DOLLARS
($25.00) TO SEVENTY -FIVE AND N01100 DOLLARS
($75.00); AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, after the adoption of the original zoning ordinance
by this City in 1937, the fee for the petition for rezoning of this
property was Twelve and 50/100 Dollars ($12.50) until January 25,
1954, and Twenty -Five and No /100 Dollars ($25.00) to this date;
and
WHEREAS, the administrative expenses incurred by the City of
Little Rock in handling rezoning petitions has greatly increased
since the establishment of a fee of Twenty -Five and No /100 Dollars
($25.00); and
WHEREAS, it is desired to adjust the filing fee to a realistic
charge in an effort to defray increased administrative expenses;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Section 43 -30 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, is hereby amended to read as follows:
1143 - 30 Same - Fee.
All petitions for rezoning of any property within
the City shall be accompanied by a receipt showing
that Seventy -Five and No /100 Dollars ($75.00) has
been paid to the City Collector's Office."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval.
