AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FIFTY THOUSAND
AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($50,000.00) FZOM THE
HINDMAN MEMORIAL FUND TO HINDMAN PARK
PROJECT NUMBED. FORTY -SIX (46) FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY -FIVE
(125) ACRES OF PARK LAND IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK; AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURE
THEREOF; AND FOR OTHEit PURPOSES.
WHEREAS the City of Little Rock has held the sum of Fifty
Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($50,000.00) which was received as
a bequest to commemorate General Hindman, a historic figure
in the history of the State of Arkansas; and
WHEREAS it is the desire of the City of Little _lock to
commemorate General Hindman by the construction of a park in
his name and so that the moneys available for such purpose
can be readily used to develop the said park, Hindman Park
Project No. 46 should be funded with the said Fifty Thousand
and No /100 Dollars ($50,000.00);
NOW, THEiZEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated Fifty Thousand
and No /100 Dollars ($50,000.00) from the Hindman Memorial
Fund now held by the City of Little Rock to Hindman Park
Project No. 46.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are
hereby authorized and directed to expend from Project 46 such
sums as may be required from time to time, not to exceed in
the aggregate the above appropriation, for the development of
one hundred twenty -five (125) acres in the Southwest part of
the City of Little Rock as a public park under and pursuant
to the plans and drawings heretofore proposed as the basis
for improvement of said park lands.

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
