AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THAT PORTION
OF THE ALLEY LYING BETWEEN LOTS ONE :(1) THROUGH FOUR (4)
AND LOTS ELEVEN (11) THROUGH FOURTEEN (14), IN BLOCK 24,
BATMAN'S SUBDIVISION OF CHERRY AND COX ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 24th day of May, 1966,
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon that portion
of the alley lying between Lots One (1) through Four (4) and Lots
Eleven (11) through Fourteen (14), in Block 24, BATMAN'S SUBDIVISION
of Cherry and Cox Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
as designated on the Plat of said Addition now appearing of record
in Plat Book 2, at Page 210, in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements
in said alley, and;
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated
to the public use as an alley; has not been actually used by the
public generally for a period of at least five (5) years; subsequent
to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the property
aubtting upon the alley to be vacated have filed with the Board
of Directors their written consent to such abandonment; and that
public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the
abandonment of such alley;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION I. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates, and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
That portion of the alley lying between Lots One (1) through
Four (4) and Lots Eleven (11) through Fourteen (14), in Block 24,
BATMAN'S SUBIDVISION of Cherry and Cox Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, subject, however, to any public utility
easements located in said alley.
SECTION II. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION III. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
