11762ORDINANCE NO. 119762 AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING SUMS FOR THE AQUISITION OF LAND INCLUDED WITHIN WEST END PARK AND RODNEY PARHAM AND WEST FIFTH STREET PARK IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; .APPROVING THE APPRAISAL OF SAID LANDS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, certain lands lying in John Barrow Addition to the City of Little Rock, having been appraised in the sum of $36,500.00, are desirable and needed for use within the proposed West End Park in the City of Little Rock and it is the desire of the City of Little Rock to acquire same at the appraised value; and, WHEREAS, certain lands lying at and near the intersection of Rodney Parham Road and West 5th Street in the City of Little Rock, having been appraised at an aggregate value of $51,250.00 and are desirable for use within a park at the intersection of Rodney Parham Road and West 5th Street and it is the desire of the City of Little Rock to acquire same at the appraised value thereof; and, WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate the correct sums for the acquisition of the lands aforesaid and to authorize the expenditure of the said funds; ARKANSAS: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965 Capital Improvement Bond Funds to Project 65P85 (West End Park) the sum of $36,500.00. This appropriation shall be paid to the owner or owners of Blocks 39, 40, 57 and 58 John Barrow Addition to the City of Little Rock for lands needed for park purposes and to be a part of the West End Park in the City of Little Rock. SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965 Capital Improvement Bond Funds to Project 65P87 (Rodney Parham and West Fifth Street Park) the sum of $51,250.00 for acquisition of the Diocese or Fletcher Tract and the Mashburn Tract. SECTION 3. The appraisals on the property described in Section 1 and 2 hereof, now on file in the Real Estate Office in the City of Little Rock and more particularly describing the said lands are hereby accepted as follows: Description Appraisal Value Block 39, 40, 57 and 58 John Barrow Addition to the City of Little Rock $36,500.00 3 � 1 Description Appraisal Value Diocese or Fletcher Tract (7.3 acres) $40,000.00 Mashburn Tract (2.5 acres) 11,250.00 SECTION 4. Upon approval of title to the foregoing tracts of land by the office of the City Attorney the City Manager and Director of Finance, upon receipt of the necessary instrument of conveyance from the person or persons found by the City .Attorney to have the legal and merchantable title thereto, are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the appraised value of said lands.
