AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING ACQUISITION OF CERTAMN
LANDS LYING WITHIN THE UNIVERSITY AVEM RIGHT-
OF-WAY; APPROPRIATING $1,827.54 FROM STREET
RIGHT -OF -WAY FUND TO PROJECT 39 (UNIVERSITY
AVENUE) WITHIN SAID FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ,ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Pursuant to an appraisal now on file in
the Real Estate Department tf the City of Little Rock, the City
Manager is hereby directed and authorized to purchase certain lands
lying within the University right -of -way which lands are described
as follows:
The West 20.0 feet of the East 40.0 feet of the
North 2.0 acres of the S� NEA, NEB:;,. NE4, Section 1,
T -1 -N, R-13-W;
And the East 20 feet of the following described prop-
erty; That part of the Eh, N31, NE%, NE4, NE4, Section
1, T -1 -N, R-13-W, described as commencing at the
northeast corner of the said NE4; thence run South
along the East line of Section 1 a distance of 184.87
feet to a point; thence West 20 feet to the West line
of University Avenue for the point of beginning;
thence South 144.9 feet along the 'West line of Uni-
versity Avenue to a point; thence West 640.66 feet
to a point; thence North 164.9 feet to a point;
thence East 495.66 feet to a point; thence South 20
feet to a point; thence East 145 feet to a point of beginning.
SECTION 2. Upon receipt by the City Manager of the
necessary deed or deeds and other instruments of conveyance, if
any, necessary to vest title to said lands in the City of Little
Rock, according to the opinion of the City Attorney, the City
Manager and Director of Finance are authorized to pay to the
person or persons entitled thereto the sum of $1,827.54 in
payment for said lands.
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from
unappropriated balance in the Street Right-of-Way Fund the sum
of $1,827.54 to Street Right-of-Way Project 39 (University
Avenue) for the purpose of providing funds with which to
purchase and acquire the above lands.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval.
