AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ACQUISITION OF LANDS
ADJACENT TO THE INTERSECTION OF ROOSEVELT ROAD
AND CONFEDERATE BOULEVARD; APPROPRIATING $42,750.00
FOR THE ACQUISITION OF SAME FROM THE 1965 CAPITItL
IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 3467 adopted on
the 20th day of December 1965, the City Manager has successfully
negctiated for the acquisition of certain lands lying adjacent
to the Intersection of Roosevelt Road and Confederate Boulevard,
and
WHEREAS, the acquisition of said lands can be accomplished
within the appraised value of said lands, and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to acquire said lands for the consideration of $42,750.00.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, AFiANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to consummate the purchase and acquisition of Lots
1,2 & 3, Block 1, Oven's Subdivision, Little Rock, Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and to obtain the necessary instruments bf
title to convey to the City of Little Rock the full, fee simple
title thereto and the City Clerk is directed to record any
and all such instruments with the Circuit Clerk of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. Upon receipt by the City Manager of all
necessary instruments to convey fee simple title to the
aforesaid lands in the City of Little Rock, according to the
opinion of the City Attorney, the City Manager and Director
of Finance are authorized and directed to pay to the person
or persons entitled thereto the consideration of $42,750.00
and to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment
thereof.

SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965
Capital Improvement Bond Fund the sum of $42,750.00 to Project
61 for the purpose of providing funds with which to pay the
consideration for the purchase oflands authorized in the
preceding sections of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and approval.
