AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING THAT POR-
TION'OF EAST 26TH STREET LYING NORTH OF, AND
ADJACENT TO, LOT 2, BLOCK 4, WATKINS' ADDI-
TION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Arkansas Warehouse Corporation, filed a
petition with the Board of Directors of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, asking the Board to close, vacate and
abandon that portion of East 26th Street lying North of,
and adjacent to, Lot 2, Block 4, WATKINS' ADDITION to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas (said portion of said street
being also described as: Beginning at the Northeast corner
of Lot 2, Block 4, WATKINS' ADDITION to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas; thence West 285 feet to the Northwest
corner of said lot and the West line of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 14, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas; thence North 60 feet to the
Northwest corner of said NE'k; thence East 285 feet along
the North line of said NEk; thence South 60 feet to the
Point of Beginning); and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
Board of Directors has at the time and place mentioned in
the notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the
question and has ascertained that the petitioner is the
owner of all property abutting the portion of the street
to be closed; that the petitioner has filed its written
consent to the vacation of the street; that the portion
of the street to be closed is not required for public
purposes and has not been actually used by the public
for a much greater period than five (5) years; and that
the public interest and welfare will be benefited by
abandonment of such street; NOW, THEREFORE,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its right,
together with the right of the public generally, in and
to that portion of East 26th Street lying North of, and
adjacent to, Lot 2, Block 4, Watkins' Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas (said portion of said
street being also described as: Beginning at the Northeast
corner of Lot 21 Block 4, Watkins' Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas; thence West 285 feet to the North-
west corner of said lot and the West line of the Northeast
Quarter of Section 14, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas; thence North 60 feet to the
Northwest corner of said NE'k; thence East 285 feet along
the North line of said NE'k; thence South 60 feet to the
Point of Beginning) as shown by the plat of Watkins'
Addition to the City of Little Rock, which plat is of
record in the office of the Circuit Clerk and Ex- officio
Recorder for Pulaski County, Arkansas, in Mortgage Record
Book AB -1, at Page 84.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certi-
fied by the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of
the Recorder and recorded in the Deed Records of Pulaski
County, Arkansas.
Section 3. Whereas, the existence of that portion
of East 26th Street lying North of, and adjacent to, Lot
2, Block 4, Watkins' Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, is adverse to the public interest and welfare,
an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance
shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage.
