AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE BY
QUITCLAIM DEED OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SITUATED
IN SALINE COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works, by resolution duly enacted on the Z 3
day of June, 1967, requested the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, to approve the sale of the hereinafter
described real property held in the name of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, for the use and benefit of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Commissioners has determined that
said sale, upon the terms and conditions set forth hereinafter,
will be to the best interest of the City of Little Rock; Now,
Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute a quitclaim deed on behalf of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, conveying to Mehlco, Inc. the following described
real property situated in Saline County, Arkansas, to -wit:
The E2 of the E2 of Section 24 and the E2 of the
Ek of the NE4 of Section 25, Township 1 North, Range
16 West, and the W2 of the NW4, except the East
310.2 feet (4.70 chains) thereof, Section 30, Town-
ship 1 North, Range 15 West, intending hereby to
convey all lands of the City of Little Rock situated
in the aforesaid Wk of the NW-4 of Section 30,
said conveyance to be for a cash consideration of $16,724.00
payable to the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the
Little Rock Municipal Water Works acquired the here-
inafter described real property situated in Saline
County, Arkansas, in the name of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, with the intent that those lands be
used for the construction of a water supply lake; and
WHEREAS, said lands are now no longer needed
and serve no useful purpose because the contemplated
water supply lake was constructed in Pulaski County,
Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, said lands cannot be rented
profitably; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has
received an offer from Mehlco, Inc. to purchase the
hereinafter described realty for the cash sum of
$16,724.00, which sum the Board believes to represent
the fair market value of the lands; Now, Therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works that the
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
be requested to approve the sale of the following
described lands situated in Saline County, Arkansas,
to-wit:
The E2 of the E2 of Section 24 and the
E2 of the Ek of the NEk of Section 25,
Township 1 North, Range 16 West, and the
W2 of the NWk, except the East 310.2
feet (4.70 chains) thereof, Section 30,

Township 1 North, Range 15 West,
intending hereby to convey all lands
of the City of Little Rock situated
in the aforesaid W2 of the NWk of
Section 30,
to Mehlco, Inc, for the cash sum of $16,724.00, the
conveyance to be by quitclaim deed of the City of
Little Rock.
