ORDINANCE NO. 11,, 915
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION OF A STREET
DESCRIBED AS:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1, said Block
7; thence North along the East line of said Lot 1 for
163.0 feet to the Southerly right-of-way line of the
Old Little Rock -Hot Springs Highway, now Arkansas State
Highway No. 5; thence in an Easterly direction along
the said Southerly right -of -way line of Arkansas Highway
No. 5 for 22.0 feet; thence South for 216.0 feet, more
or less, to a point which lies 22.0 feet Easterly from
the Easterly line of said Lot 15; thence in a South-
easterly direction along a line 22.0 feet from and
parallel to the said Easterly line of Lot 15 for 127.0
feet to the North right -of -way line of Pinewood Street;
thence in a Southwesterly direction along the said
Northerly right -of -way line of Pinewood Street for 22.0
feet to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 15; thence
in a Northwesterly direction along the Easterly line of
said Lot 15 for 147.0 feet to the Northeast corner of
said Lot 15; thence in a Northerly direction to the
point of beginning.
AND CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY DESCRIBED
AS FOLLOWS:
Starting at the Northeasterly corner of Lot 15, said
Block 7; thence in a Southwesterly direction along the
Northerly line of Lots 15, 14, 13, and 12 for 205.9
feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of Lot 12,
said Block 7; thence in a Northwesterly direction for
20.0 feet to the Southwesterly corner of Lot 5, said
Block 7; thence in an Easterly direction along the
Southerly line of Lots 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1, for 228.0
feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of said
Lot 1; thence in a Southerly direction to the point
of beginning.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of Dir-
ectors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 11th day
of May , 1967 asking the Board to vacate and abandon
the above described portion of a street and portion of an alley,
as designated on the plat of Pike Addition to the City of
Little Rock now appearing of record in Plat Book 2, page 180,
in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas; and

WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question
and has found and ascertained that the portion of the street
and portion of alley hereinafter and above described, has here-
tofore been dedicated to the public for a period of at least
five (5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all
of the owners of the property abutting upon the portion of
the street to be vacated have filed with the Board their written
consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and wel-
fare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such
portion of the street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the portion of
a street and portion of an alley designated as follows:
A street lying East of and adjacent to Lots 1 and 15,
Block 7, PIKE ADDITION, Amended, located in the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas and being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1, said Block
7; thence North along the East line of said Lot 1 for
163.0 feet to the Southerly right -of -way line of the
Old Little Rock -Hot Springs Highway, now Arkansas State
Highway No. 5; thence in an Easterly direction-along
the said Southerly right -of -way line of Arkansas Highway
No. 5 for 22.0 feet; thence South for 216.0 feet, more
or less, to a point which lies 22.0 feet Easterly from
the Easterly line of said Lot 15; thence in a South-
easterly direction along a line 22.0 feet from and
parallel to the said Easterly line of Lot 15 for 127.0
feet to the North right -of -way line of Pinewood Street;
thence in a Southwesterly direction along the said
Northerly right -of -way line of Pinewood Street for 22.0
feet to the Southeasterly. corner of said Lot 15; thence
in a Northwesterly direction along the Easterly line of
said Lot 15 for 147.0 feet to the Northeast corner of
said Lot 15; thence in a Northerly direction to the
point of beginning.

A portion of a 20 -foot wide alley lying in Block 7,
PIKE ADDITION, Amended, located in the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly described
as follows:
Starting at the Northeasterly corner of Lot 15, said
Block 7; thence in a Southwesterly direction along the
Northerly line of Lots 15, 142 13, and 12 for 205.9
feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of Lot 12,
said Block 7; thence in a Northwesterly direction for
20.0 feet to the Southwesterly corner of Lot 5, said
Block 7; thence in an Easterly direction along the
Southerly line of Lots 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, for 228.0
feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of said
Lot 1; thence in a Southerly direction to the point
of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
