ORDINANCE NO. 119898
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND VACATING A PORTION OF
AN ALLEY ABUTTING LOTS 2 AND 3 AND 10 AND 11,
BLOCK 26, CUNNINGHAM'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, AS DEDICATED IN THE PLAT
OF CUNNINGHAM'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, Jones- Murphy - Millard, Inc., filed a Petition with
the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, asking
the Board to close and vacate the following portion of an alley now
situated in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:

All that portion of an alley abutting Lots 2 and
3 and 10 and 11, Block 26, Cunningham's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as dedicated
in the Plat of Cunningham's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas,
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard
all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the petitioner is the owner of all property abutting upon the
portion of the alley to be closedf that the petitioner by its petition
has consented to vacating the alleys that the portion of the alley
to be closed is not required for public purposes and has not been
actually used by the public for a much greater period than five years,
if in fact they were ever so used, and that the public interest and
welfare will be benefited by closing and vacating such portion of
the alleys NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS t
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby re-
leases, vacates and abandons all its right, together with the right
of the public generally, in and to the following described portion of
an alley, now situated in the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, to -wits

All that portion of an alley abutting Lots 2 and
3 and 10 and 11, Block 26, Cunningham's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, as dedicated
in the Plat of Cunningham's Addition to the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of this ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder and recorded
in the Deed Records of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 3. Whereas, the existence of the hereinabove de-
scribed portion of the alley is adverse to the public interest and
welfare, an emergency is declared to exist and this ordinance shall
take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
