AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF
VEHICLES ON PUBLICLY OWNED OR CONTROLLED
PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ITS
BOARDS, AGENCIES OR COMMISSIONS; MAKING
THE VIOLATION THEREOF A MISDEMEANOR AND
PROVIDING PENALTIES THEREFOR; AUTHORIZING
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK TO REMOVE ANY VEHICLE PARKED
IN VIOLATION THEREOF; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. When signs are erected thereon giving
notice thereof it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or
corporation to park or cause to be parked any vehicle upon
any property owned by or under the control of the City of
Little Rock or boards, agencies or commissions of the City
of Little Rock, except in areas designated for public
parking generally. Every person, firm or corporation
violating this Section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not
less than $5.00 nor more than $50.00 for each offense.
SECTION 2. Any vehicle parked in violation of
the provisions of Section I hereof may be removed by the
Police Department of the City of Little Rock from the
property in question to the nearest garage or other place
of safety or to a garage designated or maintained by the
Police Department.
SECTION 3. All Ordinance and parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage.
