11860ORDINANCE NO. 119860 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 26 -27 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, SAME PROVIDING FOR THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE ARKANSAS ART CENTER' THEIR APPOINTMENT AND TERMS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Section 26 -27 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, same providing for the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Art Center their appointments and terms is hereby amended to read as follows: The management and control of the Arkansas Arts Center and its cultural and educational programs is hereby vested in a board of trustees, which shall have not less than nine nor more than twenty -four members, to be appointed pursuant to the provisions of Act No. 99 of the Acts of 1929 as amended by Act No. 8 of the Acts of Arkansas of 1967, pro- vided that the policy of the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Arts Center shall not be inconsistent with this Code, the Ordinance of the City of Little Rock and the Statutes of the State of Arkansas. After the initial appointment of the trustees to the said board, trustees shall thereafter be appointed to serve for a term of four years. The mayor of the City of Little Rock and the president of the Fine Arts Club shall serve as ex officio members of the board of trustees. The said board from time to time may elect honorary life members as it deems expedient. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
