AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ESTABLISHING A MUNICIPAL PARK AND RECREATIONAL
AREA FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; DIRECTING
THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNATION PRO-
CEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following described parcels of real pro-
perty situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, are hereby condemned for
the purpose of constructing a park and recreational area for the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas and the City Attorney is hereby ordered
and directed to file in the proper courts a condemnation proceeding
against the following described parcels of real property situated in
Pulaski County, Arkansas:
A parcel of land containing 10 acres more or less
and located in NEh of NW'h of SE4 of Section 14,
Township 1 North, Range 13 West, Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas; more particularly des-
cribed as follows: Block 39, 40, 570 580 John
Barrow Addition to City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
This property appears to be owned by the Colored Sunday
School Union, Inc.
The property hereinabove described is necessary for the
purpose of establishing, improving and creating a park and recreational
area for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to
secure an order of the court allowing the City to take immediate
possession of the properties hereinabove described upon the posting
of a bond in an amount to be determined by the court. The City
Attorney is authorized to have posted on behalf of the City a bond
in an amount to be determined by the court pending final determina-
tion of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
