AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 43 -5 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK PROVIDING FOR "(PI AND "E" APARTMENT
DISTRICT ZONING; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:

Barber Shop
Gift Shop
Pickup for laundry and dry cleaning
Drug Store
Ladies Apparel
Men's Apparel
Offices
Club Rooms
Music Shop
Florist Shop
Liquor Store
(b) Accessory commercial uses as permitted in Paragraph (a) above
are permitted in the "D" or IIE" Apartment Districts containing an apartment
development under single ownership with structures three stories or less
in height and having a minimum of 100 living units or a minimum land area

SECTION 1. Section 43 -5 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little
Rack is hereby amended to add Subsection (6)
and to read as follows:
(a) Accessory commercial uses are
permitted in a multi -story
residential structure (five stories or more only) located in an "Ell

Apartment District providing such uses are
located entirely within
said structure to which they are an accessory,
do not occupy more than
ten per cent (10 %) of the gross area of
the building in which located

(exclusive of areas below ground level),
are located either on the top

floor of the structure or contiguous to
the lobby or mezzanine of the

principal building. For ground floor 1 evel use, the main entry will be

commercial uses are limited toy
the following:

of not less than 125,000 square feet provided such uses are located a
distance from the side lot lines not less than 25% of the average width of
the tract and from the front and rear tot lines not less than 25% of the
average length of
the tract,
do not occupy a space which is more
than 10%
of the total gross
floor area
of the apartments (excluding areas
below ground
level).
No
commercial area or
facility
shall be constructed
until at least
one -half
of
the dwelling units
on which
the authorization of
a commercial area
was based have been completed.
SECTION 2. this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
