AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 -3 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES, AS AMENDED, PERTAINING
TO DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS FOR GARBAGE COLLECT-
ION FEES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 15 -3 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock, as amended, same pertaining to
delinquent accounts for garbage collection fees is hereby
amended to read as follows:
ttSec. 15 -3. Garbage Collection Fees -- Delinquent
Accounts. In the event the fees herein established are not
paid promptly when due and there is a delinquency of twenty
from date of bill
days, /there may be a penalty of ten per cent (10 %) of the
amount of the fee in addition thereto, and said penalty shall
become a part of and be collected with the regular fees here-
tofore levied.
Should the penalty and fees herein provided for be
unpaid for a period of three months from the time the first
fee became due, the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized
and directed to institute civil suit for the recovery of said
fee with all penalties attached thereto, plus the court costs
incidental to their collection.t1
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
