AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCH ED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRO-
VIDING RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR A RAILROAD TO SERVE.
THE PORT OF LITTLE ROCK SITUATED ON THE
ARKANSAS RIVER; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY
TO INSTITUTE CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST
SAID PARCELS OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE.BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following described parcels of real
property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas are hereby con-
demned for the purpose of providing railroad right -of -way to
serve the Port of Little Rock situated on the Arkansas river
and the City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to file
in the proper Courts, condemnation proceedings against said
parcels:
(1) Lot 8, Block H, Factoria Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Said property
appears to be owned by Matthews Smith.
(2) Lot 10, Block H. Factoria Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Said property
appears to be owned by Hugh Simmons.
(3) Lot 12, Block G, Factoria Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Said property
appears to be owned by Q.S. Godsey.
(4) Lot 13, Block G, Factoria Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas. Said property
appears to be owned by Mrs. Roy Bell.
The properties hereinabove described are needed for
the purpose of providing right -of -way for a railroad to serve
the Port of Little Rock situated on the Arkansas river.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized
to secure an Order of the Court allowing the City to take
immediate possession of the properties hereinabove described
upon the posting of a bond in an amount to be determined by
the Court. The City Attorney is hereby authorized to have

posted on behalf of the City a bond in an amount to be determined
by the Court pending final determination of the condemnation
proceedings.
SECTION It is hereby found and determined that
immediate possession and control of the property described by
this Ordinance is necessary to enable the City to maintain the
time schedule heretofore established for construction of the
Terminal facilities for the Port of Little Rock and that failure
to maintain this time schedule can be detrimental to the welfare
of citizens of this city; than an emergency is delcared to exist,
and this Ordinance being necessary for the protection of the
public welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage.
