AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE SOUTHERN STANDARD
HOUSING CODE (1965 EDITION); ESTABLISHING
MINIMUM STANDARDS FOR HOUSING WITHIN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; PROVIDING FOR THE
ENFORCEMENT OF SAID STANDARDS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The 1965 Edition of the Southern Standard
Housing Code as promulgated by the Southern Building Code Congress
is hereby adopted in its entirety. Three (3)copies of said Code
having been on file in the office of the City Clerk fir the time
and in the manner prescribed by Act 267, Acts of Arkansas, 1949,
and shall so remain on file at all times hereafter.
SECTION 2. Any and all amendments and revisions to
and of the Southern Standard Housing Code as provided by the
Southern Standard Building Congress which shall hereafter be
duly and regularly adopted by the Southern Building Code Congress
shall be and become a part of the Code adopted by this Ordinance
when and as published and issued by the said Southern Building
Code Congress unless, by Ordinance, the Board of Directors shall
refuse to accept such amendment or revision as a part of the
Housing Code.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and-after its passage.
