AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING A GIFT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $3,000.00 FROM THE DOWNTOWN
LITTLE ROCK CIVITAN CLUB; APPROPRIATING
SAID SUM TO BE USED FOR CIVITAN KIDDIE
ZOO IMPROVEMENTS; EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
FOR SAID GIFT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS,
has made a gift to
Three Thousand and
that same be used
and
WHEREAS,
the Downtown Little Rock Civitan Club
the City of Little Rock in the amount of
N01100 Dollars ($3,000.00) conditioned
Eor making improvements to the Kiddie Zoo;
it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to accept said gift and commit its use as requested and at the
same time, express individually and for and on behalf of the
citizens of this community sincere appreciation for the interest
of the Civitan Club in the Cityts zoo.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors individually and
for and on behalf of the citizens of this community hereby
express sincere appreciation and thanks to the Downtown Little
Rock Civitan Club and its membership for the gift in the amount
of Three Thousand and NO /100 Dollars ($3,000.00) to the City
to be used for improvements in the Kiddie Zoo. This and prior
gifts of the Civitan Club have made possible an attractive and
worth while addition to the Little Rock Municipal Zoo.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the
unappropriated balance in the General Fund for the year 1968,
the sum of Three Thousand and N01100 Dollars ($3,000.00) to
be credited to the Zoo Budget Account No. 8.01 - Civitan Kiddie
Zoo Improvements. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to make such changes in the
1968 budget as may be necessary so as to reflect both the

receipt of this Three Thousand and N01100 Dollars ($3,000.00)
gift and the appropriation of said sum to the budget account
identified.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
