ORDINANCE NO. 121043
AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING A CERTAIN PARCEL OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ES-
TABLISHING AND PROVIDING A MUNICIPAL PARK
AND RECREATIONAL AREA FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING
CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCEL
OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following described parcel of real
property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, is hereby
condemned for the purpose of constructing a park and re-
creational area for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas and
the City Attorney is hereby ordered and directed to file in
the proper Courts a condemnation proceeding against the follow-
ing described parcel of real property situated in Pulaski County,
Arkansas:
Lot 20, Block 14, Riffel and Rhotonts Forrest
Park Highland Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas.
This property appears to be owned by James Vance,
George Vance, Lucille Vance and the unknown heirs of Maggie
Mae Phifer, deceased.
The property hereinabove described is necessary for the
purpose of establishing, improving and creating a park and re-
creational area for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized
to secure an Order of the Court allowing the City to take immedi-
ate possession of the properties hereinabove described upon the
posting of a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court.
The City Attorney is authorized to have posted on behalf of the
City a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court pending
final determination of the condemnation proceedings.

SECTION 3. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance
shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
