AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,993
SAME BEING THE BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK FOR 1968 TO PROVIDE FOR ADDIT-
IONAL PERSONNEL, SALARIES AND PURCHASES; APP-
ROPRIATING THE SUM OF $144,386.72 FROM THE UN-
EXPENDED BALANCE IN THE GENERAL FUND FOR 1968;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors finds and determines
the necessity for additional personnel and salaries in various
agencies and departments of the City administration, performing
and rendering service to the public and for the adjustment of
salaries heretofore authorized to personnel in certain of said
departments and that by making provisions for such additional
personnel and salaries, the quality of service to the public
will be appreciably improved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The 1968 budget provisions as set forth in
Ordinance No. 11,993 for the hereinafter identified departments,
agencies and commissions of the City government are hereby modified
and changed and the said Ordinance amended to reflect and provide
for the additional personnel, salaries and increased salaries as
set forth below:

SECTION 3. The aggregate total of the sums provided
for as appropriated items in Section 1 and Section 2 hereof in
the amount of One Hundred Forty Four Thousand Three Hundred Eighty
Six and 72/100 Dollars ($144,386.72) is hereby appropriated from
the unexpended balance in the General Fund for the year 1968 for
the purpose and to the accounts as identified in said Sections.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
