AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 11,886
SAME BEING AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING
A PORTION OF WEST 17TH STREET, ADJACENT TO
BLOCKS 7 AND 10, BATEMANS ADDITION TO THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 11,886, same being an Ordinance
vacating and closing a portion of West 17th Street, adjacent to
Blocks 7 and 10, Batemans Addition to the City of Little Rock is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Ordinance of the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, vacating and closing all that
portion of West 17th Street within Batemans Addition
to the City of Little Rock adjacent to Lot #6 Block
#7 and Lot #1 Block #10; also that portion adjacent
to Lot #7 Block #7 and Lot x`12 Block #10 of said Bate -
mans Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
, a petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 10th day
of March, 1967, asking of the Board of Directors to vacate and
abandon all the street of that portion of West 17th Street within
Batemans Addition to the City of Little Rock adjacent to Lot #7
Block #7 and Lot #12 Block #10 also that portion adjacent to Lot
#6 Block #7 and Lot #1 Block #10 of said Batemans Addition to the
City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said addition
now appearing of record in Plat Book 1, Page 91, in the office of
the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any
public easements in said street and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board
of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has as-
certained that the street, herein before described, has heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as a street, as herein described;
has not been actually used by the public generally for a period of
at least ten (10) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that
all of the owners of the property abutting upon the street to be

vacated have filed with the Board of Directors their written
consent to such abandonment; and that public interest and welfare
will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of such street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the streetchsignated
as follows: All that portion of West 17th Street within Batemans
Addition to the City of Little Rock adjacent to Lot #7 Block #7
and Lot #12 Block #10; also that portion adjacent to Lot #6 Block
#7 and Lot #1 Block #10 of said Batemans Addition to the City of
Little Rock, subject however, to any public utility easements
located in said street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County."
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
