ORDINANCE NO. 12,021
ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, THAT THE FOLLOWING PORTION OF NORTH RINGO STREET, TO-
WIT: THAT PORTION WHICH LIES NORTH OF A LINE EXTENDED WEST ACROSS
SAID STREET FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 255, ORIG-
INAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, UP TO THE SOUTH RIGHT -OF -WAY LINE OF
NORTH STREET; AND THE ALLEY RUNNING EAST -WEST THROUGH BLOCK 255,
ORIGINAL CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; BE CLOSED, VACATED AND ABANDONED.
WHEREAS, A petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 11th day of
December
, 19 67 , asking the Board of Directors to
vacate and abandon all of North Ringo Street which lies north of a
line extended west across said street from the south line of the
alley in Block 255, Original City of Little Rock, up to the south
right -of -way line of North Street (which street runs north -south
between Blocks 297 and 255, Original City of Little Rock); and
the alley running east -west through Block 255, Original City of
Little Rock; all in Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however,
to any public easements in said street and alley; and
WHEREAS, After due notice as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the street and alley, hereinbefore described,
has heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a street and
alley, but is no longer required therefor as the result of other
changes heretofore made and now existing in this neighborhood;
that all of the owners of the property abutting upon the street
and the alley to be vacated have filed with the Board of Directors
their written consent to such abandonment; and that public in-
terest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon-
ment of such street and alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to the street designated as follows:
that portion of North Ringo Street which lies north of a line ex-

tended west across said street from the south line of the alley
in Block 255, Original City of Little Rock, up to the south right-
of-way line of North Street; and in and to the alley designated
as follows: the alley running east -west through Block 255, Orig-
inal City of Little Rock; be closed, vacated and abandoned, sub-
ject, however, to any public utility easements located in said
street and alley.
SECTION 2. At such time as the owners of the vacated street
and alley develop such property, the owners will, as part of such
development, construct at their cost, a sixty foot by twenty foot
"Hammerhead " turn - around immediately south of the south line of
vacated North Ringo Street.
SECTION 3. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute and deliver, for and on behalf of the City
of Little Rock, GRANTOR, a quitclaim deed in recordable form, to
Transportation Properties, Inc., Little Rock, Arkansas, GRANTEE,
conveying all the right, title and interest of the City in and to
that portion of the public street and alley hereinabove described
and vacated.
SECTION 4. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County, Arkansas, and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after July 15, 1968.
