ORDINANCE NO. 12,003
AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO BLISS -
GAMEWELL FOR FIRE ALARM SYSTEM MATERIALS;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $18,586.35 FROM
THE 1965 IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND TO
PROJECT 65 -F -53; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was published and bids re-
ceived pursuant thereto for the purchase of certain fire alarm
system materials all in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid
received for said materials was that of Bliss - Gamewell in the
amount of Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Six and 35/100
Dollars ($18,586,.35); and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to
accept said bid of Bliss - Gamewell and to authorize the purchase
of said materials in keeping with specifications and bid proposal
on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The bid of Bliss - Gamewell in the amount of
Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Six and 35/100 Dollars
($18,586.35) for certain fire alarm system materials as provided
for by plans, specifications and bid proposal now on file in the
office of the Purchasing Agent is hereby accepted and a contract
of purchase of said materials is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965
Improvement Construction Fund to Project 65 -F -53 the sum of
Eighteen Thousand Five Hundred Eighty Six and 35/100 Dollars
($18,586.35) to be used for the payment of purchase price of
materials authorized in Section 1 hereof when same are received
complying in all respects with the specifications and bid proposal
on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent.

SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and requested to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of the purchase price of materials herein
identified upon their receipt in full compliance with the specifi-
cations on file in the office of the Purchasing Agezt.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
