AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $29000.00
FROM THE UNENCUMBERED BALANCE IN THE GENERAL
FUND TO BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. 5.08 FOR THE Z00;
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF TWO (2) BLACK
LEOPARDS; WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the
unencumbered balance in the General Fund to Budget Account
No. 5.08 - Zoo, the sum of Two Thousand and No /100 Dollars
($2,000.00) to be used toward payment of the purchase price
for two (2) black leopards.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to proceed with the purchase of two (2) black leopards for
the Little Rock Municipal Zoo at a total purchase price of Three
Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($3,500.00). The purchase
of said animals is hereby declared to be an exceptional situation
and, therefore, competitive bidding is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant
or warrants of the City of Little Rock in an amount up to Three
Thousand Five Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($3,500.00) upon the delivery
of said leopards.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
