AN ORDINANCE EXERCISING THE OPTION TO
PURCHASE CERTAIN LANDS IN THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS TO BE USED FOR
HALL COVE PARK; APPROPRIATING THE SUM
OF $48,750.00 FOR SAID PURPOSES; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby
exercise that certain option to purchase park lands for a
total consideration of Fifty Thousand and No /100 Dollars
($50,000.00) given to the City of Little Rock by C.V.B. Develop-
ers, Inc. dated March 1, 1967 to the lands situated in Pulaski
County, Arkansas and described as follows:
That part of Block 11, Riffle & Rhotonts Forest
Park Highland Addition, lying South of Hall Cove
Addition #2, being a strip of around about 13
feet wide, more or less; all of Block 14, Riffle
& Rhotonts Forest Park Highland Addition, except
Lot 20; all of Block 19, Riffle & Rhotonts Forest
Park Highland Addition including platted rights -
of -ways now abandoned, which includes 30 feet for
Texas Street, 30 feet for Alabama Street and 20 feet
for "Lt' Street; except a tract in Southwest corner
described as: Beginning at the Southwest corner of
Block 19, Riffle & Rhotonts Forest Park Highland
Addition; thence North 0"50 min. West 160.0 feet;
thence North 89 °47 min. East 101.7 feet; thence South
0° 13 min. East 180.2 feet; thence S89 °47 min. West
99.8 feet; thence North 0 °50 min. West 20 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the 1965
Improvement Construction Fund - Parks to Project 90 - Hall Cove
Park the sum of Forty Eight Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and
No /100 Dollars which together with the sum of One 'Thousand Two
Hundred Fifty and No /100 Dollars ($1,250.00) heretofore paid
for the option thus constituting a total of Fifty Thousand and
No /100 Dollars ($50,000.00) is to be paid as the total purchase
price for said lands. The City Manager and Director of Finance

are hereby authorized and directed to pay the balance of
said purchase price in the amount of Forty Eight Thousand
Seven Hundred Fifty and No /lC0 Dollars ($48,750.00) upon
receipt of an instrument of conveyance from C.U.B. Developers,
Inc. conveying said lands to the City and which shall in the
opinion of the City Attorney vest the fee simple title to the
City.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage.
