11950ORDINANCE NO. 119950 AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH GLENN HENRY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $94.014.00 FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A CLUB HOUSE AT REBSAMEN PARK GOLF COURSE; AUTHORIZING THE PAST OF THE BALANCE OF ARCHITECTS FEES FOR SAID CLUB HOUSE IN TAN AMOUNT OF $5,688.00; APPROPRIATING TEE Sm OF $99,702.00 FROM THE 1966 RESERVE FUND ESTABLISHED IN ORDINANCE NO. 11820; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 18, invitation to bid was published and bids received pursuant thereto for the construction of a club house at Rebsamen Park golf course all in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid was that of G1ennHenry Construction Company in the amount of Ninety Four Thousand Fourteen and No /100 Dollars ($94,014.00); and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to accept the said bid of Glenn Henry Construction Company and authorize the execution of a contract for the prosecution of said work provided for in accordance with plans and specifica- tions all on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent of the City of Little Rock. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTOR OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. The bid of Glenn Henry Construction Company in the amount of Ninety Four Thousand Fourteen and No /100 Dollars ($94,014.00) for the construction of a club house at Rebsamen Park golf course is hereby accepted and the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock a contract with said Glenn Henry Construction Company for the performance of the work in accor- dance with plans, specifications and bid proposal on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent of the City of Little Rock which contract shall be in form and substance as follows: - 2 - SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from that portion of the 1966 Reserve for Capital Improvements established from General Funds as provided for in Ordinance No. 11,820 the sum of Ninety Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Two and No /100 Dollars ($99,702.00) to be used for the purpose of paying the contract price hereinabove provided for and the balance due for architect fees in preparation of plans and specificyttions for said club house. SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the contract price for said club house as herein provided all in accordance with terms, provisions and conditions of said contract. Further, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the balance of architect fees due Horace Piazza for said Rebsamen Park club house which balance is in the amount of Five Thousand Six Hundred Eighty -Eight and No /100 Dollars ($5,688.00) upon completion of the responsibilities of said architect in keeping with his m ploy - ment agreement. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
