AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE BY
QUITCLAIM DEED OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY SITUATED
IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock
Municipal Water Works, by resolution duly adopted on the 9th
day of May, 1969, requested the Board of Directors of the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas, to approve the conveyance by quitclaim
deed of the hereinafter described real property upon which
easements are held in the name of the City of Little Rock for
the use and benefit of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that in
exchange for the execution of said deed, the City of Little Rock,
for the use and benefit of the Little Rock Municipal Water
Works, will acquire substantial additional rights of way of
great benefit to the City and the Water Works, all of which
will be to the best interest of the City; Now, Therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of Little Rock,
Arkansas, be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to
execute a quitclaim deed on behalf of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, conveying to International Paper Company the following
described real property situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas,
to-wit:
A right of way 50 feet wide, being 25 feet on each side
of the center line described as beginning at a point on
the East line of the NW% of the SE'k of Section 27, Town-
ship 2 North, Range 13 West, which is 185 feet North of
the Southeast corner thereof; thence North 86 degrees 47
minutes West 488.2 feet to the point of curvature of a
curve to the right; thence along the arc of said curve,

of 573 feet, a distance of 11 feet to the South line of
Block 7, University Heights Addition, containing 2.69
acres, more or less; and
A tract of land described as beginning at a point on the
South line of Canis Street in University Heights
Addition which is 16.5 feet West of the Northwest corner
of Lot 8, Block 7, of said University Heights Addition;
thence Southeasterly in a direct line to a point on the
West line of said Lot 8 which is 16.8 feet South of the
Northwest corner of said Lot 8; thence North to the
Northwest corner of said Lot 8; thence West to the point
of beginning, containing 0.003 acre, more or less; and
A right of way 50 feet wide, being 25 feet on each side
of the center line described as beginning at the Northwest
corner of the NEk of the SWk of Section 27, Township 2
North, Range 13 West, and run thence East a distance of
423.8 feet; thence South 41 degrees 45 minutes East a
distance of 27 feet to the point of beginning on the
North line of Lot 8, Block 7, University Heights Addition;
thence continuing South 41 degrees 45 minutes East a
distance of 81 feet to the point of curvature of a curve
to the left; thence along the arc of said curve, which has
a radius of 573 feet, a distance of 118 feet to a point
on the South line of Lot 3, Block 7, University Heights
Addition, containing 0.228 acre, more or less
Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
