AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7 -32 (a) OF
THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY FOR LATE
LICENSING OF DOGS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Subsection (a) of Section 7 -32 of the Code of
Ordinances of the City of Little Rock entitled "Late Licensing Fee;
interfering with animal control worker; penalties" is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"Section 7 -32
(a) In addition to the annual license fee as
provided for in Section 7 -19 hereof, a
penalty shall be assessed against the owner
of any unlicensed and unvaccinated dog after
June 1 of each year. The penalty shall be $1.00
if paid prior to July 1 of the year involved and
$2.00 if paid after July 1. A fine of $25.00
shall be assessed against any owner who fails
or refuses to have his dog licensed and vaccinated
within one year following June 1 of any given year.
The additional charges herein provided for late
licensing shall be collected in the same manner
as provided for in Section 7 -19 of this Code.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
