AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING A CERTAIN PARCEL OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ESTABLISHING AND PROVIDING FOR A MUNICIPAL
PARK AND RECREATIONAL AREA FOR THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK; DIRECTING THE CITY ATTORNEY TO
BRING CONDEMNATION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID
PARCEL OF REAL PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The following-described parcel of real property
situated in Pulaski County, Arkansas, is hereby condemned for the
purpose of constructing a park and recreational area for the City
of Little Rock, Arkansas and the City Attorney is hereby ordered
and directed to file in the proper Courts a condemnation proceeding
against the following described parcel of real property situated
in Pulaski County, Arkansas:
A portion of the NEk, NWk, Section 31, Township 1
North, Range 12 West, being more particularly
described as follows:
Beginning 962 feet North of the Southwest Corner
of the NEk, NWk, Section 31,'Township 1 North,
Range 12 West, Pulaski County; Arkansas; thence
East 623 feet; thence North 320 feet; thence
West 623 feet; thence South 320 feet to the point
of beginning; less and except that part-described
as starting at the Northeast Corner of said NEk,
NWk, thence West 1,291 feet, thence South 15 feet
to the point of beginning; thence run South 75
feet; thence East 150 feet; thence North 75 feet;
thence West 150 feet to the point-of beginning;
containing 4.33 acres, more or less.
This property appears to be owned by Mrs. B. C. Phillips.
The property hereinabove described is necessary for the
purpose of establishing, improving and creating a park and
recreational area for the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to
secure an Order of the Court allowing the City to take immediate

possession of the properties hereinabove described upon the posting
of a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court pending final
determination of the condemnation proceedings,
SECTION 3. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
