ORDINANCE NO. 12,203
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF- LITTLE ROCK VACATING,
CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF
APPIANWAY STREET BOUNDED ON THE NORTH
BY THE EAST -WEST EXPRESSWAY AND ON THE
SOUTH BY THE EXTENDED EAST -WEST ALLEYS
OF BLOCKS 5 AND 6 ROOTS AND COYS
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock proposes, under its
authority provided for by Arkansas Statutes, to close, vacate
and abandon that portion of Appianway Street bounded on the
North by the East -West Expressway and on the South by the
extended East -West Alleys of Blocks 5 and 6 Roots and Coys
Addition to the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, after due notice, the Board of Directors has, at
the time and place mentioned in the notice heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that
the streets and alleys hereinbefore described have heretofore
been dedicated to the public use as streets and alleys, but are
no longer required for such purposes and that the public interest
and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment of
said streets and alleys.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby releases, vacates,
closes and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally in and to the following described streets and
alleys: That portion of Appianway Street bounded on the North by
the East -West Expressway and on the South by the extended East -
West Alleys of Blocks 5 and 6, Roots and Coys Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas

SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by
the City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder
of Pulaski County, Arkansas and recorded in the Deed Records
of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
