AN ORDINANCE RELEASING, VACATING AND ABANDONING ALL
RIGHTS OF THE CITY AND THE PUBLIC GENERALLY IN THAT
PART OF -:wtsT- THIRTIETH STREET BETWEEN VALENTINE
STREET AND MAPLE STREET, INTERSECTING BLOCKS 10 AND
11 OF DICKINSON MILL ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the
Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
on the 30th day of ,D0cembe-k 1968, asking the Board
of Directors to vacate and abandon all that portion of
the street designated on the plat of the Dickinson Mill
Addition to said city, now appearing of record in Plat
Book 1, page 238, in the office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, which lies between Blocks 10 and 11 of
Dickinson Mill Addition.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by
law, the Board of Directors has, at the time and place
mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that
the portion of the street hereinbefore described has
heretofore been dedicated to the public use as a
street herein described; has not been actually used
by the public generally for a period of at least five
years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that all
of the owners of the property abutting upon the portion
of the street to be vacated have joined in the petition
for such abandonment; and that public interest and
welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandon-
ment of such street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD
OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereby releases, vacates and abandons all its rights,
together with the rights of the public generally, except
for the rights and needs of public utilities, including
the Little Rock Municipal Waterworks, for ingress and
egress to maintain any existing utility lines, including
water lines, in said area, and except for the rights and
needs of the City of Little Rock for ingress and egress
to control drainage in said area, in and to the street
designated as follows:
That part of Thirtieth Street between
Valentine Street and Maple Street, inter-
secting Blocks 10 andll of Dickinson Mill
Addition, Plat Book 1, Page 238, in the
office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
Section 2. A copy of the ordinance duly
certified by the City Clerk shall be filed in the office
of the Recorder of the county and recorded in the deed
records of the county.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage.
