AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING AND EMPLOYING JOHN
T. MERIWETHER CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. John T. Meriwether is hereby employed as
City Manager of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, effective
January 19, 1969, at an annual salary of Twenty -two Thousand
Five Hundred and N01100 Dollars ($22,500.00). Said City Manager
shall have the authority, responsibilities and duties as are
provided by law and at the direction of the Board of Directors.
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed, and this ordinance shall
be in full force and effect from and after its passage and
approval.
