AN ORDINANCE AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF REVOLVERS FOR USE BY THE LITTLE
ROCK POLICE DEPARTMENT, A CRAWLER - TRACTOR
DOZER FOR USE BY THE SANITATION DEPARTMENT
AND FOR CURB AND GUTTER WORK TO BE DONE AT
THE LITTLE ROCK CITY ZOO; APPROPRIATING
$22,265.00 FROM THE UNEXPENDED BALANCE OF
THE GENERAL FUND; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and
bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the purchase
of revolvers for use by the Little Rock Police Department, a
crawler- tractor dozer for use by the Sanitation Department and
for curb and gutter work to be done at the Little Rock City Zoo;
and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders
have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Direc-
tors to authorize the purchase of these items from the lowest
responsible and responsive bidders.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids
on contracts for the purchase of revolvers, crawler - tractor dozer
and for curb and gutter work at the Little Rock City Zoo are here-
by accepted and contracts awarded as follows:

SECTION 2. The sum of Twenty Two Thousand Two Hundred
Sixty Five and N01100 Dollars ($22,265.00) is hereby appropriated

from the unexpended balance of the General Fund to be used
together with other funds to purchase the crawler- tractor dozer.
SECTION 3. That portion of Ordinance No. 12,165 dated
November 18, 1968, which awarded the contract for 40 revolvers
to Fones Brothers is hereby cancelled in that Fones Brothers
cannot make delivery, the contract being awarded to the next
lowest bidder.
SECTION 4. Upon delivery of the aforementioned items
complying in all respects with the bidding specifications and
bid proposal, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of said contract price.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage.
