ORDINANCE NO. 121160
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT WITH
THE MONSANTO COMPANY FOR THE ACQUISITION
FOR RIGHT -OF -WAY FOR WEST MARKHAM STREET;
APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $16,746.00 FROM
THE 1965 IMPROVEMENT CONSTRUCTION FUND
FOR STREETS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Mayor and City Clerk and hereby authorized
and directed to negotiate a contract with the Monsanto Company
for the purpose of acquiring right -of -way on West Markham Street
at the intersection of Rodney Parham Road, more particularly
described as follows:
A parcel of land situated in the NW4, NE-I4,
Section 2, T -1 -N, R -13 -W to the City of Little
Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and more partic-
ularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the West line of said
NA, NE4, Section 2, T -1 -N, R -13 -W, said point
being 4.4 feet North of the Southwest corner of
said NW4, NE4, and on the North line of West
Markham Street; thence N 89047113/1 E along said
North line of West Markham Street 72.90 feet to
a point, said point being the intersection of
the North line of West Markham Street and the
West line of Rodney Parham Road; thence N 380
2012711 W along said West line of Rodney Parham
Road 116.50 feet to a point; said point being
on the West line of Rodney Parham Road and West
line of said NW4, NE4, thence S 002313819 W
along said West line of NW4, NE4, 4.11 feet;
thence S 3800110211E 32.46 feet to the point of
tangency of a curve whose radius is 34.50 feet
and tangent is 71.61 feet; thence southerly
along said curve to the right 70.41 feet, to
the intersection of the curve with the West
line of the NW4, NE-14, Section 2; thence S 00
23,381, W along said West line of the NW4, NE4,
6.86 feet to the point of beginning, and
containing 1842.82 square feet more or less.
SECTION 2. These negotiations shall not commit the City
of Little Rock to an outlay of more than Sixteen Thousand Seven
Hundred Forty Six and No /100 Dollars ($16,746.00), which sum is
hereby appropriated from the 1965 Improvement Construction Fund
for streets.

effect from and after its passage.
