AN ORDINANCE TO ABANDON AND VACATE AN ALLEY
SITUATED BETWEEN LOTS 11, 122 AND THE SOUTH
29 FEET OF LOT 10, ON THE ONE HAND, AND
LOTS 1, 2, AND THE SOUTH 29 FEET OF LOT 3,
ON THE OTHER HAND, ALL IN BLOCK 9, POPE'S
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, on the 24th day of
July , 1968, asking the Board of Directors to
vacate and abandon an alley, hereinafter described, which
alley divides Lots 11, 12, and the South 29 feet of Lot 10,
on the one hand, and Lots 1, 2, and the South 29 feet of
Lot 3, on the other hand, all in Block 9, Pope's Addition to
the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, after due notice required by law, the Board
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all
persons desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained
that the alley, hereinafter described, has heretofore been
dedicated to the public use as an alley; but has not been
actually used by the public generally for more than five
years prior to the filing of said petition; that the petitioners
own all of the property abutting on the portion of the alley
to be vacated, and have filed their written consent to such
abandonment; and that the public interest and welfare will not
be adversely affected by the abandonment of such alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all its rights together with
the rights of the public generally, in and to the alley
designated as follows:

Commence at the Southeast corner of
Lot 12, Block 9, Pope's Addition, and run
thence North 129 feet to a point on the East
boundary line of Lot 10 of said Block 9;
thence East 20 feet to a point on the West
boundary line of Lot 3 of said Block 9;
thence South 129 feet to the Southwest
corner of Lot 1 of said Block 9; thence
West 20 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. A copy of this ordinance duly certified

by the 9XIQWMK Clerk shall be filed in the office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County and recorded in the Deed Records
of the County.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in force from and after its passage.
