12407r ORDINANCE NO. 12,407 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 -1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PROVIDING FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION FEES IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. Section 15 -1 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, providing for garbage collection fees, is hereby amended to read as follows: "Sec. 15 -1. Garbage collection fees -- Schedule. M (A.) All garbage, waste, trash and refuse in the City of Little Rock shall be collected M M regularly by the employees of the City and for Ln � such service the Sanitation Department of the N -V �'� City or its duly authorized representative .. M d' ri ri =W -W shall charge and collect fees as set out in l� N N the following schedule: 1. $2.50 per month for each single residence or unit of duplex or multiple dwelling. Such fees o shall be collected monthly and billed on the statement for water rd for said premises and be the debt W ra and obligation of the person, firm, or corporation in whose name the water meter for said residence, unit of duplex or unit of multiple dwell- ing is listed. 2. $1.00 per month per cubic yard of material handled for commercial customers in biweekly service or $1.25 per month per cubic yard of material handled in more than bi- weekly service. Such fees shall be collected monthly and be billed on the statement for water for the premises served and be the debt and-obligation of the person, firm or corporation in whose name the water meter for said customer is listed. Such commercial users shall be required to maintain containers as approved and speci- fied by the Sanitation Department. 000-170 E -l91 -2- Commercial customers utilizing containers incapable of being serviced except by manpower shall be charged a fee of $1.25 per month per cubic yard, regard- less of the number of times per week service is required. 3. The collections of all delinquents and the amounts due thereunder shall not be affected or changed by this section. 4. The fees and the collection thereof as hereinabove provided shall be- come effective on January 1, 1971." SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after January 1, 1971.
