ORDINANCE. OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND
CLOSING AN ALLEY IN PETTIFER'S ADDITION TO
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of
Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 15th day
of September , 1970, asking the Board of Directors to
vacate a certain alley in Block 2 of Petti.fer's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, as designated on the plat of said Addition
now appearing in Deed Book 7 at page 109 in the Office of the
Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas.
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the
Board of Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the
notice, heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and
has ascertained that the alley hereinafter described has been
dedicated to the public use as herein described; has not been
actually used by the public generally for a period of at least five
.(5) years subsequent to the filing of the plat; that owners of
Lots 5, 6, 7 and 8 abutting on the alley to be vacated are petitioners;
that Lots 4 and 9 are both presently used as East Roosevelt Road;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of said alley; and it is in the best interest
of the City of Little Rock to vacate said alley.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby
releases, vacates and abandons all of its rights, together with the
rights of the public generally, in and to the .alley designated as
follows:
1. That certain alley lying in Block 2 of Pettifer's.
Addition to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of
Pulaski County, Arkansas and recorded in the Deed Records of the
County.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in
force from and after its passage.
