AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING-AND PROVIDING FOR THE
TECHNICAL STUDY OF THE LITTLE ROCK TRANSIT SYSTEM,
AWARDING A CONTRACT TO SNAVELY, KING AND TUCKER AS
CONSULTANT, APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF $7,000 -FROM THE
UNEXPENDED BALANCE OF THE STREET FUND; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little.Rock has received tentative_approval.of the
Federal Government to conduct a technical study of the Little Rock transit system; and
WHEREAS., the Federal Government'shall provide matching funds for said
study; and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is desirous of'having said technical
study made of the transit system; and

WHEREAS, various consultants have been contacted regarding the transit'
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY-OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The contract*is hereby 'awarded to Snavely, King and Tucker,
as consultant for the conducting of a technical study of the Little Rock, transit
system as per the application on file in the office of the Purchasing Agent:
SECTION 2. There is hereby appropriated from the unexpended balance of
the Street Fund, Seven Thousand Dollars ($7,000) to be used together with other
monies in funding the cost of the Little Rock Transit'Study.
SECTION 3. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants upon the
completion of the aforementioned study and the submission of the final report'
to the City of Little Rock.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage.
