AN ORDINANCE AWARDING A CONTRACT TO
CAPITOL EQUIPMENT COMPANY FOR A
10,000 WATT GENERATOR FOR TRAFFIC
DEPARTMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation for bid was published and bids received
pursuant thereto for the purchase and installation of a 10,000
watt generator for the traffic department in accordance with law; and,
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bid received for
said generator was that of Capitol Equipment Company in the amount of
$1,766.22; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Directors to accept
said bid of Capitol Equipment Company and to authorize the purchase
of said generator in keeping with specifications and bid proposal
on file in the office of the purchasing agent.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The bid of Capitol Equipment Company in the amount of
$1,766.22 for a 10,000 watt generator installed as provided for by
plans, specifications, and bid proposal now on file in the office of
the Purchasing Agent is hereby accepted and a contract of purchase of
said generator is hereby authorized.
SECTION 2. The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or warrants in
payment of the purchase price of the generator herein identified upon
its delivery and installation, complying in all respects with the
specifications and bid proposal.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage.
