ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 1,
SIDNEY J. JORNSQNIS ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Hock, Arkansas, on the 10th day of
June
, 1970,
asking the Board of Lirectors to vacate and abandon all of the alley
in Block 1, Sidney J. Johnson's Addition to the City of Little Rock, as
designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed
Book AB, Page 282, in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County,
Arkansas, subject, however, to any public easements in said alley;
and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of Directors
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons
desiring to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the
alley, hereinbefore described, has heretofore been dedicated to the
public use as an alley, as herein described; that said Block 1 has been
rezoned and is being developed in accordance with plot plan as filed
with the City of Little Rock; that all of the owners of the property
abutting upon then. alley to be vacated have filed with the Board of
Directors their written consent to such abandonment; and that public
interest and welfare will not be adversely affected by the abandonment
of such alley;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the
public generally, in and to the alley designated as follows:
That portion of Block 1, Sidney J. Johnson's Addition designated
as the alley in plat being of record in Deed Record Book AB, Page 282
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said alley.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski County and
recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
