AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-4 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS, SAID SECTION DEALING WITH
ADMINISTRATIVE POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE
LITTLE ROCK PLANNING COMMISSION; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 29 -4 of the Code of Ordinances of the City
of Little Rock is hereby amended as follows:
"Sec. 29 -4. Administrative powers and duties.
At the first regular meeting in January of each year,
the commission shall elect a chairman and vice -
chairman. The commission shall adopt rules and regu-
lations to govern its proceedings and provide for a
regular meeting date, at least once each month; create
such committees as may be necessary to the proper
exercise of its functions and prescribe the duties
therefor. Special meetings may be called from time to
time. According to the rules of the commission a
majority of the membership shall constitute a quorum.
The commission shall make recommendations and an annual
report to the city manager and board of directors con-
cerning the operation of the commission and the status
of planning within its jurisdiction.
The commission shall prepare and submit an annual
budget in the same manner as regular departments of the
city government.
If deemed advisable, the commission may establish an
advisory committee or committees.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
