ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING A PART
OF PRUIT STREET, GREEN STREET AND TOWNSEND STREET
IN BOOKER HEIGHTS ADDITION, AND VACATING AND CLOSING
AN ALLEY IN BLOCKS 4 AND 5 IN BOOKER HEIGHTS ADDITION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 8th day of April, 1971,
asking the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon a part of,�'a
street platted as Pruit Street adjacent to Blocks 4 and 5 of Booker
Heights Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, more par-
ticularly described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter, Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,
being a street right of way 20 feet wide, named Pruit
Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition to Little
Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly described
as starting at a point 20 feet East and 585 feet South
of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as a point of
beginning, thence North 585 feet to the North line of
Section 34, thenceWest 20 feet to the Northwest Corner
of Section 34, thence South 580 feet to a point, thence
Southeasterly for a distance of 20.5 feet to the point
of beginning;
and a part of a street platted as Green Street in Booker Heights
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being a street right of way 20 feet wide, named
Green Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly
described as starting at the Northwest Corner of Section
34 as the place of beginning, thence East along the North
boundary of Section 34 for a distance of 310 feet to a
point, thence South for a distance of 20 feet to a point,
thence West for a distance of 310 feet to a point, thence
North 20 feet to the place of beginning;
and a part of a street platted as Townsend Street in Booker Heights
Addition to Little Rock, Arkansas, described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being a street right of way 40 feet wide, named
Townsend Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly
described as starting at a point 20 feet East and 320
feet South of the Northwest Corner of Section 34, as
the point of beginning, thence South 40 feet to a
point, thence East 290 feet to a point, thence North
40 feet to a point, thence West 290 feet to the point
of beginning;

and the unnamed alleys which bisect, in a North -South direction,
Blocks 4 and 5 of Booker Heights Addition to Little Rock, Arkansw:y
described as follows:
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 340 Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being an alley 10 feet wide, and being more
particularly described as starting at a point 20
feet South and 160 feet East of the Northwest Corner
of Section 34 as the point of beginning, thence South
for a distance of 300 feet to a point, thence East
for a distance of 10 feet to a point, thence North
for a distance of 300 feet to a point, thence West
for a distance of 10 feet to the point of beginning;
AND also an area more particularly described as
starting at a point 360 feet South and 160 feet West,
of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as the place
of beginning, thence South for a distance of 300
feet to a point, thence East for a distance of 10
feet to a point, thence North for a distance of 300
feet to a point, thence West for a distance of 10
feet to the point of beginning;
as designated on the plat of said Addition now appearing of record
in Plat Book 1, page 90, in the office of the Circuit Clerk and
Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject, however, to any
public easements in said streets and alleys; and
WHEREAS, after due notices as required by law, the Board of
Directors has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice,
heard all persons desiring to be heard on the question and has
ascertained that the streets and alleys hereinbef ore described,
have heretofore been dedicated to the public use as streets and
alleys, as herein described; has not been actually used by the
public generally for a period of at least five (5) years sub-
sequent to the filing of the plat; that all of the owners of the
property abutting upon the alley to be vacated have filed with
the Board of Directors their written consent to such abandonment;
and that public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such streets and alleys;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE POCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of
the public generally, in and to the streets and alleys designated
as follows:

A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter, Sectinn 34, Township 2 North, Range 13 West,
being a street right of way 20 feet wide, named Pruit
Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition to Little
Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly described
as starting at a point 20 feet East and 585 feet South
of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as a point of
beginning, thence North 585 feet to the North line of
Section 34, thence West 20 feet to the Northwest Corner
of Section 34, thence South 580 feet to a point, thence
Southeasterly for a distance of 20.5 feet to the point
of beginning; AND
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being a street right of way 20 feet wide, named
Green Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly
described as starting at the Northwest Corner of
Section 34 as the place of beginning, thence East along
the North boundary of Section 34 for a distance of 310
feet to a point, thence South for a distance of 20 feet
to a point, thence West a distance of 310 feet to a
point, thence North 20 feet to the place of beginning;
AND
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being a street right of way 40 feet wide, named
Townsend Street in the plat of Booker Heights Addition
to Little Rock, Arkansas, and being more particularly
described as starting at a point 20 feet East and 320
feet South of the Northwest Corner of Section 34, as
the point of beginning, thence South 40 feet to a
point, thence East 290 feet to a point, thence North
40 feet to a point, thence West 290 feet to the point
of beginning; AND
A portion of the Northwest Quarter of the Northwest
Quarter of Section 34, Township 2 North, Range 13
West, being an alley 10 feet wide, and being more
particularly described as starting at a point 20
feet South and 160 feet East of the Northwest Corner
of Section 34 as the point of beginning, thence South
for a distance of 300 feet to a point, thence East
for a distance of 10 feet to a point, thence North
for a distance of 300 feet to a point, thence West
for a distance of 10 feet to the point of beginning;
AND also an area more particularly described as
starting at a point 360 feet South and 160 feet West
of the Northwest Corner of Section 34 as the place
of beginning, thence South for a distance of 300
feet to a point, thence East for a distance of 10
feet to a point, thence North for a distance of 300
feet to a point, thence West for a distance of 10
feet to the point of beginning;
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said
streets and alleys.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the
City Clerk, shall be filed in the office of the Recorder of Pulaski
County and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage.
