AN ORDINANCE CONDEMNING CERTAIN PARCELS OF
REAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS, TO BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DEVEL-
OPING A PARK FOR THE USE AND BENEFIT OF THE
MODEL CITIES AGENCY AND OF THE PUBLIC GENERALLY;
DIRECTINr, THE CITY ATTORNEY TO BRING CONDEMNA-
TION PROCEEDINGS AGAINST SAID PARCEL OF REAL
PROPERTY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION. 1. The following described parcel of real property
is hereby condemned for the purpose of establishing and developing a
park within the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, in connection with the
Model Cities Agency,and the City Attorney is hereby directed to file
in the proper Court a condemnation proceeding to acquire said parcel
of real property:
Lot 8, J. S. Pollock's Subdivision of Block 21
Garland's Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas
The apparent owners of the above described property are the
heirs of Janie Wafford, deceased, Nannie Wright, and George Taylor.
The property hereinabove described is necessary for the public
use for the purpose of establishing and developing a park within the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. The City Attorney is further authorized to procure
an Order of the Court allowing the City of Little Rock to take immediate
possession of the property hereinabove described upon the posting
of a bond in an amount to be determined by the Court pending final
determination of the condemnation proceedings.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
