ORDINANCE NO. 12,458
ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS, VACATING AND CLOSING PART OF EAST EIGHTH STREET, LYING
BETWEEN BLOCKS 5 AND 12, WOODRUFF 'S ADDITION TO THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, a Petition was duly filed with the Board of Directors of the
City of Little Rock, on the 12th day of February , 1971, ask-
ing the Board of Directors to vacate and abandon part of East Eighth Street, lying
between Blocks 5 and 12, Woodruff's Addition to the City of Little Rock, as des-
ignated on the Plat of said Addition now appearing of record in Deed Book AB,
Page 210, in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas, subject,
however, to any public utility easements in said street, and
WHEREAS, after due notice as required by law, the Board of Directors,
has, at the time and place mentioned in the notice, heard all persons desiring
to be heard on the question and has ascertained that the street, hereinafter
described, has heretofore been dedicated to the public as a street, as herein
described; is not presently being used by the public generally as a travel way;
that all of the owners of the property abutting upon the street to be vacated have
filed with the Board of Directors their written consent and request for such aban-
donment; and that the public interest and welfare will not be adversely affected
by the abandonment of such street;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby releases,
vacates and abandons all its rights, together with the rights of the public gen-
erally, in and to the street designated as follows:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Block 12, Woodruff's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence West along the North
boundary line of said Block 12, Woodruff's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, to the intersection of said North boundary
line with the East right of way line of United States Interstate Hwy.
No. 30; thence Northwesterly along the said East right of way line
of said United States Interstate Hwy. No. 30 to its intersection with

the South boundary line of Block 5, Woodruff's Addition to the
City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence East along said South
boundary line of Block 5, Woodruff's Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, to the Southeast corner of said Block 5,
Woodruff's Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas; thence
South to the Northeast corner of Block 12, Woodruff's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, the place of beginning,
subject, however, to any public utility easements located in said street.
SECTION 2. A copy of this Ordinance, duly certified by the City
Clerk, shall be filed in the Office of the Recorder of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
and recorded in the Deed Records of the County.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage.
