AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 15 -13, 15 -14
AND 15 -15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES REGULATING
THE HAULING OF TRASH, GARBAGE AND LITTER IN
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Section 15 -13 of the Code-of-'Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 15 -13. PRIVATE DISPOSAL- VEHICLE INSPECTION
No person, firm or corporation shall haul any garbage,
trash or rubbish within the City in any vehicle except
such as has been inspected and approved for such use
by the Public Works Department of the City of Little
Rock.. Such inspection shall be made at least annually
or more often when the Public Works Department deems
necessary.
SECTION 2. Section 15 -14 of the -Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 15 -14. SAME - VEHICLES ;SPECIFICATIONS
(a) All vehicles used in hauling trash or rubbish shall
have beds of tight construction to prevent the contents
from sifting or falling from the vehicle and must have
an adequate cover over said vehicle at all times except
when loading or unloading.
(b) All vehicles used in the hauling of garbage must
either have a bed construction of metal and be leak
proof or have metal containers with tight fitting lids.
Vehicles are required to be covered with metal, tar-
paulin or equivalent covering at all times except when
loading.
SECTION 3. Section 15 -15 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended -to read as follows:
SECTION 15 -15. SAME - INSPECTION; PENALTY
Any person violating the provisions of Section 15 -13
and Section 15 -14 shall be deemed guilty of a-
misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum
not less than $10.00 nor more than $100.00.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage.
