AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS A PARCEL OF
LAND IN VERNON PLACE ADDITION AND BASELINE ACRES
ADDITION IN PULAS KI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas entered
its order on December 18, 1970, upon the petition of the owners of
all the properties to be annexed, after due notice of hearing of
said petition for the time and in the manner prescribed by law
ordering the annexation of the following described lands located in
Pulaski County, Arkansas, to-wit:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of Vernon Place Addition,
which point is the Northwest corner of Lot 46, Vernon Place Addition,
run thence East 495 feet across the North line of Lots 46, 457 449
431 427 41, and 40 of said Vernon Place Addition, to the Northeast
corner of Lot 40 in said addition; thence run South 809.7 feet
to the Southeast corner of Lot 27 in said addition; thence run West
along the South line of Lots 26, 25, 24, 23, and 22 in said addition
a distance of 390 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 22; thence run
North.150 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 10 in said addition;
run thence West 60 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot 11 in said
addition; run thence North 180 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot
10 of said addition; thence run East along the North line of Lots
9 and 10 in said addition 120 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 8;
thence North along the West line of Lots 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, 330
feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in said addition; thence ?west
along the South line of Cameron Street as platted to the Southwest
corner of said Street as platted, 165 feet; thence North along the
West end of Cameron Street as platted and along the West line of Lot
46 of said addition to the point of beginning; AND a tract of land
described as follows: beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 40
in Vernon Place Addition, run thence North along the East line of
Lot 2, Wallace Baseline Acres Addition 692.8 feet to the North line
of the right -of -way of Baseline Road; thence West along the North
line of Baseline Road 495 feet; thence South along the West line of

Lot 4, Wallace Baseline Acres Addition 692.8 feet to the Northwest
corner of Lot 46 Vernon Place Addition; thence East along the North
line of Lots 46, 459 44, 439 421 411 and 40 of said Vernon Place
Addition, 495 feet to the point of beginning, all in Pulaski County,
Arkansas.
WHEREAS, more than thirty (30) days have elapsed since ti -,e entry
of said Order by the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, and
no person, firm or corporation has instituted any proceeding in the
Circuit Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas or elsewhere, to prevent
such annexation, and no protestants have appeared and no notice
given to the authorities of the City of Little Pock, Arkansas, of
any atterpt to vacate, review, set aside or appeal from said Order
of the County Court; and
WHEREAS, said above described lands are contiguous to and
adjoin the City of Little Rock, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE I BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, acting
by and through this Board of Directors, does hereby approve the annex
ation of, and does hereby accept and make a part of the incorporated
area of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, all of the lands described
hereinabove; and that said lands be and are hereby assigned and
attached to the Fourth Ward of said City.
SECTION 2. It is further ordered that when two copies of the
entire proceedings in the Pulaski County Court concerning this
annexation have been prepared and duly filed by the Pulaski County
Clerk, one copy of said proceedings shall be delivered to and filed
with the Secretary of State of the State of Arkansas, pursuant to
$ 19 -305 Ark. Stats. Anno. (1968 Repl. )
